Aroma Menu gets the Check

On Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Health Check will welcome the first gourmet café to the program. Aroma Espresso Bar, a gourmet coffee shop with nine locations across the Greater Toronto Area and 150 worldwide, will be offering a selection of Health Check menu items to its customers.
“We’ve always been dedicated to providing healthy food options to our customers and thanks to Health Check, we are able to truly highlight those healthy choices,” said Anat Davidzon, Aroma’s operating partner.
Aroma will be offering five menu items that meet the strict Health Check nutrient criteria, developed by the registered dietitians at Heart and Stroke Foundation. Aroma‘s Health Check menu comprises Muesli, Oatmeal, Chopped Salad, Warm Chicken Salad and Aroma Special Salad.
“We are happy to welcome Aroma to our program,” said Terry Dean, Director of Health Check. “It’s great to see establishments like Aroma truly dedicating their efforts to offering Canadians healthy food items.”
The espresso bar, which prides itself on freshly prepared healthy lunches made to order and gourmet coffee, has been hard at work developing its recipes to fit the criteria alongside Health Check’s registered dietitians since last February.
