How can Health Check help?
The “other foods’ category in the Health Check program is the smallest category. That’s because most snack foods and condiments do not meet the nutrient standards set by the Health Check program. To be part of the Health Check program foods like muffins or granola bars must be lower in fat, sodium and sugar, and be a source of fibre.

Tips of the Week
Experiment with recipes and reduce the amount of sugar by ¼ to 1/3. Use cinnamon, vanilla or almond extract to add flavour rather than sweetness.
