Emily Richards

I am a professional home economist, with a Bachelor of Science in home economics specializing in food and nutrition from the University of Western Ontario. I have been working in the food industry for over 20 years and still enjoy every minute of it.

 I have authored and co-authored three cookbooks and I spend most of my days creating recipes that include topics such as healthy eating, feeding kids, casual entertaining, weeknight meals and many more for notable Canadian magazines and organizations such as LCBO Food & Drink, Today’s Parent Magazine, Longo’s Experience Magazine, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Egg Farmers of Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada and Maple Leaf Prime Chicken and Pork.

 I am currently working on my next cookbook, which will help families enjoy weeknight meals and also bring the casual kitchen entertaining experience with friends to homes across the country. I truly enjoy teaching Canadians how to cook across Canada by presenting recipes, easy cooking, healthful twists and entertaining ideas. While always promoting my passion for food and hopefully inspiring people to get in their kitchens and cook!
