Julie Lau

Hi I’m Julie, program manager for the British Columbia Dining Program since 2006.

It has been an incredible experience working with chefs, owners and other restaurant staff to provide healthier food choices in their restaurants.  Prior to joining Health Check, I worked in community hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health and was the regional foodservice director for a large multi-national company. Working for the Health Check program is by far the most fun as it brings together all the skill sets of nutrition, culinary, marketing and program management into one.  Best of all, I get to help British Columbians eat a little healthier when they dine out.

I am a registered dietitian with over 20 years of experience and am registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and the American Dietetic Association.  I graduated from the University of Western Ontario and received my Masters in Health Administration from the University of Colorado.
