How often do you read the Nutritional Facts table on food packaging

Labelling Tips

The Heart and Stroke Foundation's dietitians have created a series of six nutrition label tips that explains different parts of the food package label. They can be used in retail flyers, web sites, newsletters or other printed materials.

We encourage you to use these brief tips to help Canadians navigate through all the nutritional information found on food packages.

Please see the User Guide which includes information on how to use the tips. The Guide also includes a number of sizes and formats for each tip to fit your publication. The tips can be downloaded, however, if you'd like a CD-ROM of these different labelling tips, please call the Health Check program at (613) 569-4361, ext. 324.
