Eating Out
Are you looking for healthy food choices when eating outside the home? The good news is that more and more restaurants want to offer healthier menu options and nutrition information about their meals. The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Health Check program is working with a number of restaurants to help Canadians make healthy choices when eating out. The Health Check not for profit program was introduced by the Foundation in 1999 and today there are over 900 food products in grocery stores across the country. The Health Check symbol in restaurants is designed to offer more healthy meal options when you are away from home and help you quickly find those options in their menus. |
